This tutorial was written for those
that have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:
PSP 9 (any version will work)
Tube of choice
I used artwork by Elias Chatzoudis

Scrap Kit Toxic Candyland by Laura from Cinnamon Scraps you can purchase this kit from
here
Font of choice - I am using Century Gothic, Neotrash and LD Jilly Nilly

Filters used
Tramages - Tow The Line

Lets get started

New canvas 150 x 150-flood fill white

Selections-select all-modify-select selection borders
Use the following settings



New raster layer-flood fill with #fa46aa
New raster layer again-flood fill with #0ae3d8
Selections-select none
Grab the selection tool-rectangle-draw a selection as shown below



Make sure your on the blue border layer-hit delete-you should now have this



Selections-select none
Preset shape-rectangle-change the line style to dot-foreground null-background white



Draw out a square on the border-see below



Close off the white background layer-merge visible the borders
Drop shadow 0, 0, 40, 10.26 black

Open up paper 2 from the kit-resize to 150 x 150-copy and paste over to your avatar
Move this layer below the border
Freehand selection tool-draw out a triangle selection
It should look like this



Effects-plugins-tramages-tow the line-default settings-click ok
It should look like this



Selections-select none

Copy and paste your tube of choice
Arrange as above-duplicate-on the duplicated layer-adjust-blur-gaussian blur-radius 3.00
Change the blend mode to soft light
Close these 2 layers for now

Using a font of choice_I am using LD Jilly Nilly
Foreground null-background #18e5da
Add the word 'Addicted' convert to raster
Selections-select all-float-defloat
Selections-modify-expand 2.00-new raster layer
Flood fill with white-selections-select none-move this layer below the addicted word
Merge visible these 2 layers only-rename the layer addicted
Drop shadow 1, 1, 40, 4.00 black

Using a font of choice-I am using Neotrash
Foreground null-background#fa46aa
Add the word 'Too You' convert to raster
Selections-select all-float-defloat
Selections-modify-expand 2.00-new raster layer
Flood fill with white-selections-select none-move this layer below the addicted word
Merge visible these 2 layers only-rename the layer To You
Drop shadow 1, 1, 40, 4.00 black

Open up the journal tag 1 from the kit
Resize so it will fit on your avatar
Copy and paste onto the canvas-rotate left 15.00
Using the Neotrash font-foreground null-background #000000
Add the word Toxic to the journal tag-rotate left 15.00
Convert the raster-merge visible these 2 layers
Rename the layer Toxic

Using a font of choice-I am using Century Gothic
Move your name to the bottom of the avatar
Convert to raster-selections-select all-float-defloat
Selections-modify-expand 2.00-new raster layer
Flood fill with white-selections-select none-move this layer below your name
Drop shadow 1, 1, 40, 4.00 black

Add proper copyright to your avatar

Now we can start animating your avatar

Close off the addicted, too you and toxic layers for now
You should only have open these for now



Edit-copy merged and paste this over to Animation Shop

Back to PSP-close off the tube layer-reopen the addicted layer
Move it right to the top of the avatar so just a little bit is showing



Edit-copy merged then over to AS-paste after current frame
Back to PSP-move the addicted layer down some more



Edit-copy merged over to AS-paste after current frame
Back to PSP-move the addicted layer down some more



Edit-copy merged over to AS-paste after current frame
Back to PSP-move the addicted layer up just a little bit



Edit-copy merged back to AS-paste after current frame
Back to PSP-hit undo



Edit-copy merged back to AS-paste after current frame
You should now have this so far in AS - 6 frames



Now back to PSP-reopen the To You layer
Move the words to the right of your avatar so the T is showing



Edit-copy merged then back to AS-paste after current frame

Back to PSP-move the to you layer a little to the left of your avatar



Edit-copy merged then back to AS-paste after current frame

Back to PSP-move the to you again to the left



Edit-copy merged then back to AS-paste after current frame



Edit-copy merged then back to AS-paste after current frame

Back to PSP-resize the to you layer by 80%



Edit-copy merged-back to AS-paste after current frame

Back to PSP-resize the to you layer again by 80%



Edit-copy merged-back to AS-paste after current frame

Back to PSP-resize the to you layer one more time by 80%



Edit-copy merged-back to AS-paste after current frame

You should now have 13 frames in AS





Back to PSP-close off the to you layer
Reopen the toxic layer-place this at the bottom of your avatar



Edit-copy merged-back to AS-paste after current frame

Back to PSP-move the toxic layer up a little bit more



Edit-copy merged-back to AS-paste after current frame

Back to PSP-move the toxic layer up some more
Also the addicted layer-so it looks like the toxic layer is pushing up the addicted layer



Edit-copy merged-back to AS-paste after current frame

Back to PSP-move both toxic and addicted both up together



Edit-copy merged-back to AS-paste after current frame

Back to PSP-close off the addicted layer-move the toxic layer up some more



Edit-copy merged-back to AS-paste after current frame

Back to PSP-resize the toxic layer by 80%



Edit-copy merged-back to AS-paste after current frame

Back to PSP-hit undo



Edit-copy merged-back to AS-paste after current frame
You should now have 20 frames in Animation Shop

Still in AS-select the first frame-edit-copy-select the last frame
Paste after current frame

Select frame 1-effects-insert image transition-use the following settings



You should now have 31 frames

Select frame 30-effects-insert image transition-use the following settings



You should now have 41 frames

Select frame 1-animation-frame properties-change to 30

Test your avatar-once happy save as .gif

Phew all finished!!!
